Is your experience of sexual assault valid?

Sometimes survivors of sexual assault get caught up in the question of if their experience was “real”.

Sometimes friends and family members of the survivor try to determine whether or not it was “real”.

Sometimes the perpetrator will deny that it was “real”.

Sometimes the legal system will say that it wasn’t “real”.

Sometimes we wonder “what is real?”.

Your experience is valid
